Architecture for social development
Iris FMG promotes architecture as a discipline for social development.
Spazio FMG for Architecture hosted the exhibition "Piccoli segni per un grande disegno" (Small works of art for a great project), from 15 – 24 November, from Tuesday to Saturday from 3.00 pm till 8.00 pm, by Luca Molinari and Simona Galateo in collaboration with Studio aMDL .
These works were up for auction on the 27 November at the Triennale in Milan. All the proceeds were donated to Associazione Casainsieme, the organisation responsible for the creation of Villa Sclopis.
This appointment revolves around strong social content, Iris Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti's wish is to make architecture the right instrument to heighten the public's awareness, in such a way that its image can be separated from that of architecture being merely a discipline.
As the title claims, even small gestures and signs can create projects which can concretely improve the life of those who suffer, in the hope that the aim of the project becomes a means of inspiration for others.
In a world where globalization has brought uniformity and a loss of identity, Iris Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti relaunches the idea of how development of new ideas and the will to realize them is the most important idea, so that each single gesture is useful and beneficial for social growth and in order to improve quality of life.
